Corsa Tone, The Buying Experience, and our GUARANTEE!

Quite simply, Corsa Guitars is devoted to making the best sounding mahogany body based guitars available anywhere! We don’t make guitars in the “conventional” way, and that makes all the difference as to why our guitars sound better than all others. Myths abound about what is responsible for guitar tone, but virtually all other guitars are compromised at the start and have no chance of matching the resonance and sustain of a Corsa, which is clearly how “tone” is defined. Buzz words, such as “old growth wood,” “thin nitro lacquer,” and “long neck tenon” are often used by builders and manufacturers to promote their guitars. However, the minute such guitars have their mahogany bodies filled with chemicals and entombed with lacquer, so they can be finished like a coffee table, those buzz words become irrelevant.

We reject the concept that destroying a guitar’s tone for the sake of “looks” or period correctness is a good thing for serious guitar players and artists. A guitar is a musical instrument, not a piece of furniture. Having a “pretend” ’59 Burst is popular and may provide a new guitar owner with a microsecond glimpse through the looking glass of history. That may be a valid objective for a guitar collector, but not for professionals or weekend warriors, who are truly passionate guitar players. Those players buy a guitar seeking the best tone, period. Corsa tone! For the guitar player who is looking for the best tone, does it make sense to accept compromised tone for the sake of historical accuracy? Most players do not have the opportunity to audition many guitars to find one that has even a little of bit of resonance and sustain left. That leads to the inevitable quest in the aftermarket for expensive solutions to a problem that can’t really be fixed.

While tone is priority number one for us, and we guarantee to deliver it, we understand that many players want a guitar that looks good as well. Our guitars may look different than others, but they are beautiful, too! Have a look through our galleries of completed guitars and we think you’ll agree! Corsa delivers the “one two punch:” Massive tone AND great looks!

We offer unique ways of buying a Corsa guitar. On the LCPG, LCPG M-Spec and Fury models, we show a video/sound clip of the actual guitar offered for sale. We do the same on these models when custom ordered. For example, in addition to providing photos to you at significant points during the build, you will see a photo gallery and video/sound clip of your custom ordered Corsa before final payment is made. For Pure Player, Little Dog and Big Dog models, video/sound clips of the represented model are shown, rather than providing a video of the specific guitar. However, we will make a video of the specific guitar, as an option, at time of purchase, if desired. We guarantee that those models have substantially the same tone as the representative videos.

So, while other guitar makers extoll their mythical virtues and make the expected claim that they “sound great,” we at Corsa Guitars GUARANTEE* that our guitars sound better than any other available electric guitars using the same woods as we do. There are millions of guitar players, but only a fraction of those experienced enough with a good ear have what it takes to know if a guitar really does have special tone. Anyone who can truly play guitar will immediately understand what playing the “Gold Standard” means. It means you are playing a Corsa guitar. Isn’t that what every guitar should be?

*We understand that there is no substitute to getting a guitar in your hands and evaluating its qualities for yourself. While we are extremely confident that when a player buys a Corsa guitar over the Internet he or she will be completely satisfied, we do offer a seven day (from day or receipt) money back guarantee on all “off the shelf” Corsa guitars, as long as the guitar has not been damaged or altered in any way by the buyer. In such cases, there will be a damage assessment charged against the return, to be determined solely by us. On custom ordered Corsa guitars, we offer a seven day return guarantee, less a 10% restocking fee, unless the return is the unlikely result of a serious defect in workmanship that we missed. In that case, the refund will be 100%.
